MAKING MOVES
The "Making Moves" - HipHop Dance Project in Christchuch aims to showcase the incredible talent of emerging dancers through HipHop dance films, live performances, and collaborations with various industry professionals. This exciting initiative features young HipHop dancers in a series of choreographed dance films, each telling a unique story and highlighting diverse styles such as popping, locking, krump and slow jam.
Led by Lila Chen from Swarm Studios and produced by professionals, the project offers a platform for young dancers to showcase their skills, express their creativity, and gain valuable industry experience. With the support of Christchurch City Council and local musicians, we foster a vibrant and collaborative community within HipHop.

When I met with Lila Chen, I could feel her passion about dancing and her group from the very beginning. The dancers make hard work with her at Swarm Studios, and their performance in Christchurch, Ray Blank Park was really marvelous.
